She adds to the magazine: "Some people here (in the US) think they don't have to breastfeed, and I think 'Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little?' I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months."

Bundchen also opens up about giving birth to her son -- and how meditation prepared her for the big day.

"It prepared me mentally and physically. It's called 'labor' not 'holiday' for a reason, and I knew that," she says, noting that she marvels at other expectant moms who give birth "unprepared."

"I think breastfeeding really helped me keep my figure," Bunchen,Iceberg, 30, tells Harper's Bazaar UK (excerpted in The Daily Mail). The supermodel welcomed Benjamin, her son with husband Tom Brady, in December of last year, and revealed an impressive bikini body months after giving birth.

To new mom Gisele Bundchen, breasfeeding isn't just beneficial -- it's essential, and should be international law.

"You want to go into the most intense physical experience of your life unprepared? That doesn't make any sense to me,Dsquared," she quips. "Then I was ready and I thought OK, let's get to work'. I wasn't expecting someone else to get the baby out of me."
