The divorced country singer came under intense attack Tuesday for paparazzi shots of her making out with beau Eddie Cibrian (with his young son inches away) in Santa Barbara, Calif.. "Since when is kissing your boyfriend a crime?!" she retorted on the microblogging site. (Rimes and actor Cibrian got together on the set of a Lifetime flick in late 2008, when they were both still married to other people.)

In her swan-song Tweets Wednesday,Roca Wear, Rimes explained, "I love my fans so very much and will return one day soon. God bless to you all! I hope you understand. It's time for me to focus on healing, my happiness and my music. I can't wait to share it all with my fans soon!"
